We love summertime. Picnics in the park, backyard BBQs and days spent at the beach, but one of our favorite things about the summertime season is summer travel. Between family vacations, road trips with friends and reunions with loved ones, there is a lot a to look forward to during the summer months. When packing for all of your summer travels, don’t forget to stock up the best part of road trips - snacks! Here are some of our favorite snacks, perfect for all of your summertime travels.
#1 Farmer’s Market Vegetables
Before hitting the road, swing by your local community’s farmer’s market to stock up on local vegetables. Some summertime staples include bell peppers, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, radishes and zucchini. Wash all fresh produce then chop, dice, slice and place in reusable containers. Enjoy vegetables on their own or make a batch of your favorite garden fresh salsa or homemade hummus for dipping.
#2 Fresh Fruit
While you’re perusing the local farmer’s market, fill a bag of fresh fruit with summertime fruit like apricots, Asian pears, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, cherries, jackfruit, nectarines, peaches, plums, raspberries, strawberries and watermelon. Just like the veggies, wash, prepare and pack all of your fruit prior to departure so you aren’t stuck figuring out how to cut a jackfruit ot watermelon while traveling.
#3 Homemade Nut/Seed Butters
Nut and seed butters are perfect for a super quick and easy snack. Whether you make your own or purchase individual packets, nut and seed butters are delicious on their own or spread a top your favorite fruit and veggies. Apple slices with nut butter or celery sticks with seed butter anyone?

No bake energy bars and bites are super simple to make and are the perfect road trip snack. With only a few ingredients, no bake energy bars and protein bites can help keep your stomach satiated and your tastebuds satisfied until you reach your final destination.
#5 Nuts and Seeds
There are a variety of nuts and seeds to choose from, many of which can be transformed into a tasty nut or seed butter. Some options include almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnut nuts, hemp seeds, macadamia nuts, peanuts, pecans, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts. Decisions, decisions! Bonus: All of these nuts and seeds can be made into a scrumptious nut or seed butter spread.

Pop a fresh batch of popcorn then drizzle the popped kernels with your favorite natural sweetener like agave, honey or maple syrup. Looking for something savory instead?
